One of the problems with the old catalyst calls to popup, was that it was impossible to use the extended functionality available by calling POP.UP directly. For example, it was not possible to store a popup which was a multiple ordered type and just call it using catalyst.

POPUP_SOFT in addition to the other wonderful features documented in past REVMEDIAs also permits access to this extended functionality. Wherever field mark delimited additional parameters were required previously, just delimit these in the popup record with vertical bars (|). POPUP_SOFT will then change these to the appropriate delimiter level. EG T|3|3|œ|$.
