A subscriber pointed out recently (courtesy of RevTech) that there is an undocumented (U) option for the BASIC command (indeed, for any command that uses RTP5 the compiler) which causes the compiler not to be buffered in memory after use. Experimentation revealed the following additional options
(I) Expand Insert Message to be more meaningful
(N) Causes the compiler not to check for freespace, nor to purge cache
before starting compilation. However compilation fails if $INSERTs
exist.
